Kirsten Moore-Sheeley is a PhD candidate in the Johns Hopkins University History of Medicine Department. Her dissertation tracks the history of insecticide treated bed nets in a transnational context and in Kenya to see how this technology became a cornerstone of global malaria control policy. This dissertation explores the relationship between capitalism, global health, and approaches to disease control in the late twentieth and early twenty-first century.
